PayPal assistance for Lebanon since 2006

PayBuddy is an independent payment assistance service based in Beirut, Lebanon, founded in 2006. It helps freelancers and businesses in Lebanon use PayPal as a payment rail with clients abroad.

  3. 2019

Banking restrictions in Lebanon make local settlement outside the banking system the core of the service.

  4. Today

20 years in, PayBuddy runs on repeat clients and referrals across Lebanon.

Why Lebanon needs assistance

PayPal is the default payout method on most freelance marketplaces and for many foreign clients. In Lebanon, local cards are frequently declined at PayPal checkout and the PayPal balance cannot be converted into local spending easily.

Assistance closes that gap: the PayPal leg runs through a verified account that clears normally, and the value is delivered locally through Whish Money. The client keeps the working relationship with their customer; PayBuddy only handles the rail.

On compliance: every transaction is quoted in writing, matched to a reference, and tied to an identified client.
